Guided tour of the exhibition 'Wiele wat mir sinn' (FR)
For more than a century, democratic elections have shaped Luxembourg's political history. The temporary exhibition #Wiele wat mir sinn (Electing who we are), organized by the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung (ZpB) and the Chamber of Deputies, invites the public to learn more about elections, political participation, and democratic engagement in Luxembourg. The exhibition will be on display at Europa Experience Luxembourg from January 26 to April 9.
Through historical facts and concrete examples, the exhibition traces the evolution of democracy in Luxembourg from the 19th century to the present day. It focuses on the right to vote: census suffrage before 1918, the introduction of universal suffrage, and the social debates that still surround elections today.
The exhibition addresses not only the functioning of institutions and electoral processes, but also essential questions such as identity, belonging, and responsibility within a pluralistic democracy.
