Space is today the scene of unprecedented competition among major powers in a rapidly changing global geopolitical context. The United States, Russia, China, Europe, and India are all investing in space. Private companies are also involved. From the militarization of space to potential territorial conflicts and the privatization of this common good, the war in the sky has begun.
Xavier Pasco runs the Fondation pour la recherche stratégique (FRS) and is a global specialist in civil and military space issues. Heinrich Kreft, a former diplomat, is a lecturer in 'space diplomacy' at Andrássy University in Budapest and co-editor of the book "Sicherheit im All – Wie wir Europa im Weltraum verteidigen".
