International Women's Day screening | If I Had Legs I'd Kick You
To mark International Women's Day, we are pleased to invite you to a screening of "If I Had Legs I'd Kick You," written and directed by Mary Bronstein.
Synopsis:
Linda (Rose Byrne) is a psychotherapist in crisis: her life is spiraling out of control as she tries to cope with her child's mysterious illness, her husband's absence, a missing client, and an increasingly strained relationship with her therapist.
The film premiered on January 24, 2025 at Sundance and was in competition for the Golden Bear at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, where Rose Byrne won the Silver Bear for Best Actress.
Reviews:
"This is an uncompromising look at motherhood and the struggles of modern life that sticks with you long after the credits roll." - Daily Express
"Byrne and Bronstein are a dream team: by zeroing in so expressively on the all-consuming anxieties of a mother, their film becomes strangely relatable to anyone who’s ever had one – not just been one." - Daily Telegraph
