Reading and discussion with Géraldine Schwarz.
With "34, rue Neuve. Le bureau de tabac de ma grand-mère", William Irigoyen transforms an intimate secret into a historical narrative. In 2014, he discovered his maternal grandmother's resistance past under the Occupation and began a personal and family investigation in Lyon, exploring an unknown site in the "capital of the Resistance." The story reveals the discreet life of a simple tobacconist, Mireille Poulet, a Jewish shopkeeper identified by the Vichy regime who played a key role in the clandestine network. After thorough investigation, William Irigoyen pays tribute to a figure as courageous as she is complex. The event includes the participation of author Géraldine Schwarz.
