Nestled in a spectacular setting between steep cliffs and the meanders of the Alzette, neimënster is part of a UNESCO World Heritage itinerary. This exceptional architectural site bears witness to four centuries of turbulent history: it has served as a Benedictine abbey, a military bastion, and a penitentiary center until 1980. Today, transformed into a cultural crossroads dedicated to creativity, it hosts artist residencies, major events, and visitors from around the world.
To discover the many facets of this historic site, regular guided tours and special visits for children from age 6 are offered.
