Nation of Language brings their icy, post-punk-inspired synth pop, created by Ian Devaney and influenced by the early work of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. The band released their debut album, Introduction, Presence, in 2020. Their next albums, including A Way Forward and Strange Disciple, incorporated Krautrock and experimental electronic influences. Strange Disciple received acclaim and led the group to sign with Sub Pop for their fourth album, Dance Called Memory, due in 2025.
