Taking part in the dancing procession is always a unique experience. It will be an important day for Echternach, not only for residents attached to tradition, but for all inhabitants.
No registration is required to participate. You simply need to arrive on time at the group of your preference and follow the instructions of the marshals to join.
Participants from Echternach traditionally wear a special outfit: dark trousers and a white shirt for men, dark skirt and white blouse for women.
The procession begins after the pontifical mass and the bishop’s address in the courtyard of the abbey, around 9:30 am.
