You'll understand when you're older. - Theatre
"This is the story of a person who engages in a dialogue with the pieces of herself that make her up: the child, the adolescent she once was, the adult who speaks today. Diffracted by the violence she has suffered, she tells us how she forged herself despite everything. How she holds all her fragments together to form a coherent whole, capable of living with others."
On stage, framed by four speakers, these different parts of herself converse with those who shaped her life, who participated in what she experienced. We see her in dialogue with the absent, the ghosts of her existence. The aim is to make visible the child, the adolescent, and all those ages that remain within the adult we are now; to explore how these fragments continue to act upon us. What would we have wanted to hear, when we were children, from the adults in front of us? Who are we speaking to when we address children, adolescents? How do we grow up again when we have had a difficult start in life?
