Guided tour of the churches
Discover the Sainte-Croix de Lorry church, formerly Lorry-devant-le-Pont (in Mousson), a 12th-century Romanesque church listed as a historic monument in 1889. Expanded in the Gothic period and fortified from the 14th to 16th centuries, it provides an opportunity to explore the history of the Pays messin from the Middle Ages to the early 20th century.
The tour also includes Saint Laurent church in Mardigny, whose bell tower and original narthex date from the 12th century and have been on the register of historic monuments since 1997. Don't miss the pillars and cubical capitals in the sacristy. Expanded in the 19th century, Saint Laurent church overlooks the village of Mardigny and offers a beautiful view over the Seille valley.
