An Impossible Fever to Negotiate (Lola Lafon)
It happened on September 14. An unsuspected man raped Landra. Landra gathers her shattered intimacy and tries to stand up, despite the fear that holds her hand. Driven by her anger, she meets the activists of Étoiles Noires Express. With them, in early 21st-century Paris, she seeks a collective and supportive life in squats, actively fights against capitalism that destroys people and souls. Landra (re)builds herself through the contact with her human brothers and sisters. Through shared words with other raped women, she will break the imposed silence and file a complaint. Towards possible reconstruction?
Landra's journey is performed by Aïcha Rapsaet as a solo stage performance, with a rhythm and musicality supported by urgent, poetic, and incandescent words. Marked by symbolic elements, the journey, staged by Joël Delsaut, is initiated by the actress's body and acting. Aïcha creates the space from Landra's inner world, helped by the strong imagery written by Lola Lafon, carried by the music, drawing the audience in. A journey as an attempt to put rape into words.
