Regular guided tour: A walk through art
Every Friday, you can participate in the free guided tour of the permanent exhibition "A Walk Through Art. European Drawings and Sculptures, 17th-19th Centuries"
The permanent exhibition at Villa Vauban takes visitors on a journey through three centuries of artistic creation: from 17th-century Dutch art, through dreamlike Italian landscapes, to French painting in the mid-19th century. In addition to showcasing numerous masterpieces across various styles and periods, the exhibition also features small-format works and miniatures, as well as a spectacular room dedicated to the acquisitions of Pescatore, a donor and benefactor of the city, at the 1850 auction of works belonging to King William II of the Netherlands.
This wide variety of subjects and artistic styles is captured in an immersive video projection at the very beginning of the tour, which sets the mood for the works they will discover during their walk through art.
Where does it take place?
