Aline Forçain's work explores the gap between the "landscape" as a cultural construct of our environment and the lived, conscious, and sensory experience of nature. Going against the Western pace, the artist offers an ode to manual activity and inner rhythms, exploring a relationship with the world that predates language. Her approach seeks to return to the roots of perceiving nature, cultivating a pre-symbolic connection as if entering the forest for the first time.

This guided tour will be preceded at 3:00 PM by a tour of Laurent Sturm & Lis Kayser's "Nuclear Paradise" at the Nei Liicht Art Center. The tour will be conducted in French by Marlène Keins and Aline Forçain. To register for both tours, please use the form attached to the announcement for the 3:00 PM tour. Catherine de Jamblinne will welcome the Friends of the Museums for this tour.
