From May to October 2026, Mudam Luxembourg will celebrate its twentieth anniversary with “Dodeka, 12 works for 12 cantons.” The title is from the Greek “dōdeka,” meaning “twelve,” and refers playfully to Luxembourg’s twelve cantons. Twelve artworks from the Mudam Collection will leave the museum walls to be exhibited in each of Luxembourg’s regions. Hosted by local museums, town halls, libraries, or cultural centres, this project brings contemporary art into the heart of communities across the country, making it possible to discover the Mudam Collection outside the museum building.

Exhibition launch on 15 May 2026 at 6:00 pm at the National Literature Centre in Mersch. 6:00 pm: Welcome by Nathalie Jacoby, Director of the National Literature Centre, and Bettina Steinbrügge, Director General of Mudam. 6:00–8:00 pm: Drinks and barbecue.
