History
Set off to discover the former mining site of Micheville, where nature has reclaimed the land since activity ceased in the 1980s. Between orchid lawns, wild heaths, and ochre cliffs, this unique landscape is now home to many rare species in Lorraine. The hike will take us to the plateau and the village of Thil, discovering notable remains from 1944 such as the Memorial of the internment camp and the entrance to the Tiercelet mine. Finally, we return to the old Micheville station, passing by the source of the Alzette. A route combining nature, memory, and surprising landscapes.

Equipment required: walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing. Registration is mandatory.
