“De l’origine du monde” was originally an investigation around parenthood. After a trilogy of shows on mothers, fathers, and then children, Raphaëlle Bouvier and Charlotte Perrin de Boussac wanted to speak in the first person about their experience of motherhood and break away from stereotypes of polite, measured mothers.
In this final installment, the authors shift from documentary theater to a raw, joyful, and liberating speech. The performance celebrates freedom and encourages the audience to cast aside societal injunctions.
