Whatever the day of the week or the weather forecast, there is always a good reason to go to the MNHN - National Museum of Natural History in Luxembourg. Especially when it's about a subject that concerns us all: the protection of our beautiful planet! 🌍

This way, little earthlings: second floor to discover the Impact exhibition - until 16 April 2023 🌳

EXHIBITION IMPACT

Earth... quite an amazing name for a planet that is 70% water, isn't it?

Now over 4.5 billion years old, it has been home to the human race for a very short time. And yes, we (little humans) have known only 0.2% of the history of life on Earth. However, it is now imperative to reinvent our relationship with life, rethink our relationship with nature and find a new ecological balance 🌱

Because they don't do things by halves, all the furniture you'll see at this exhibition has been designed using 95% recycled wood from the British Navy. It comes from an old exhibition at the Natural History Museum in London! 

So cool, isn't it?

___ACTIVITIES FOR THE LITTLE ONES... AND FOR THE OLDER ONES!

During your visit, you will probably come across a number of boxes. By increasing the air temperature, you will discover the impact of this increase on the living species presented. Tip from our super Laura: don't blow up the thermostat! 🚨

____HOW MANY SAPIENS?

If you didn't know it yet, you should know that in just two centuries, the world population has increased six to eight times: that's all! Researchers estimate that there will be 11 billion Sapiens in 2100 and continue to carry out numerous research projects on the development of our species, the evolution of our language, the transmission of our cultures...

 And it seems that a member of our Sapiens team is very interested in cranial anatomy... Which one do you think is the oldest skull? 💀

Become a mushroom picking expert 🍄 and discover the different specimens through quizzes, fun activities and microscope observations in this workshop. They will soon have no secrets for you: hurry up, sign up!

Gourmet biodiversity tour

Price of the visit and the menu: 25€, except on 19 March: 20€.

Come and treat yourself one Sunday a month, after a visit at 11am, in the museum cafeteria! On the menu: a gourmet plate of regional and fair trade products that respect biodiversity. 🍽

Creative writing workshop for all: making memories with biodiversity
