PARTY NOTE: TWENTY-WINE OUT OF TWENTY📍 Wormeldange, Wormeldange-Haut, Ehnen, Ahn and Machtum

Every year for the past 23 years, the wineries in the commune of Wormeldange have opened their doors for a weekend to let you discover the region's finest Rieslings 🍷 (we'll let you imagine it's white).

Did you know that the commune of Wormeldange has soil P-E-R-F-E-C-T conditions for growing and ripening the delicious grapes that end up in your glass? These same grapes, which, by the way, enjoy year-round sunshine thanks to the steep slopes on which the vines are planted 😎 How lucky...

For three days, wander from village to village (and what beautiful villages they are!) and from winery to winery, take a tasting break in the vineyards of the Riesling capital, and let yourself be seduced by little gourmet moments: giant barbecues, oysters and seafood, refined menus and many other “agapes vigneronnes” as they say so aptly...

THE LITTLE WEEKEND GUIDE

To help you prepare for this gastronomic and wine-focused getaway, we've put together the perfect guide for you.

First and foremost: you can join in the festivities for free! On-site tastings are not included (yes, you can imagine that wine doesn't flow for free). But there's no need to book your visit to the wineries of your choice, as you'll be able to stroll from one to the next, without having to look at your watch.

About Friday September 13th

The festivities begin on Friday evening, but we'll tell you about that right after 🤫

Saturday 14th and Sunday September 15th

The rest of the weekend promises to be festive, with musical entertainment, local specialities to discover in the different villages, special menus offered by certain winegrowers (don't forget to sign up) and DJ evenings (pssst, someone told me that it's happening Saturday evening in Ahn and Wormeldange). Stroll through these pretty villages on Saturday from 3pm and on Sunday from 11am, perfect for aperooo!

Domaine viticole Max-Lahr et fils, Maison Viticole Schmit-Fohl, Domaines Vinsmoselle... You're sure to find what you're looking for among the 17 winegrowers who'll be giving you a warm welcome all weekend long!

The cherry on the cake, is that the MS Princesse Marie-Astrid boat will take you between the 4 Moselle villages in the commune 🛳️ The perfect opportunity to admire the magnificent picturesque landscapes of the Luxembourg Moselle from the river 🌳

LIKE A FAIRY TALE...📍Wormeldange Cultural Centre

Riesling is not the only star of the weekend...

Every year, Wormeldange welcomes the crown! A symbol of the winegrowing heritage and expertise, the Queen of Riesling has long embodied the elegance and finesse of Moselle wines. Quite a responsibility...

Friday September 13th, 8pm sharp, a princess becomes Queen... 👸🏻Anne Kelsen, daughter of winegrowers and Riesling princess for several years, will proudly wear the crown! For one year, she will represent Riesling (alongside her three princesses) at over 70 wine festivities in Luxembourg and abroad

To take part in this roooyal opening ceremony, don't forget to register from September 4th. Chorale Wormer & Wormer Musek will open the evening with their show, followed by a public Riesling tasting. Then it's time for the crowning and the party, with a live band and DJ 🎧

Take advantage of this weekend to meet Anne, toast and share a good time over a glass of wine!
