A WINE-DERFUL EDITION
Every year, Luxembourg's Riesling capital showcases its golden treasure for a weekend! And since they never do things by halves in Wormeldange, the region's wineries - 16 to be exact - open their doors wide to welcome you 😎
It must be said that nature has been kind to this region: mineral-rich soils, steep slopes basking in the sun, and the Moselle river flowing below. The result? Grapes that thrive in perfect conditions to produce the dry, elegant white wine with fruity aromas and floral notes that we know so well 🥂
And the Riesling Open is not just a wine event! It is a real immersion in the Moselle way of life: walks from cellar to cellar, concerts, meetings with winegrowers, and gastronomic discoveries... FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19Grand opening at 8:00 pm
Yes, we lied to you a little... wine isn't the only star of the weekend!
The festivities kick off in style at the Wormeldange Cultural Center with the opening ceremony AND the coronation of the 2025 Riesling Queen! A round of applause for: Tessy Marx 🌟 After four years as princess, she will now proudly wear the crown!
Her role? To represent the terroir, embody elegance and finesse of Moselle wines and remind us that behind every glass are generations of passionate winemakers. Surrounded by her princesses, she will attend numerous events in Luxembourg and beyond 👸🏻
To take part in this royal opening ceremony, send a little email to [email protected] to register, starting September 10. After the coronation, it's time to party with a first public tasting of Riesling accompanied by the lively rhythms of Vocals on Tour, the Wormer & Wormer Musek Choir, and DJ Bluesound 🕺🏻
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 AND SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 21Saturday from 3:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am
Concerts in the villages, culinary discoveries, special menus concocted by certain winegrowers (remember to reserve your table) and DJ evenings to keep the party going... Suffice to say that the program promises to be festive and super gourmet!
Whether you prefer to stroll through the cellars of the Max-Lahr et fils wine domain, taste the creations of the Schmit-Fohl wine house, explore the Berna cellars, the Vinsmoselle domains or the Alice Hartmann domain, there is bound to be a corner of paradise for you among the 16 winegrowers who will welcome you throughout the weekend 🍇
Another little tidbit for you: you can sail from one Moselle village to another aboard the MS Princesse Marie-Astrid boat and enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful landscapes of the Luxembourg Moselle 🛳️
