6 shows not to miss this autumn in Luxembourg

It’s official: the cultural season is here 🎭

We’re swapping summer terraces for the plush seats of theatres. 

And rather than simply enduring the return to everyday life, we’ve decided to spice it up with a few lovely outings. That’s perfect timing: Luxembourg’s stages still have a few delightful surprises up their sleeve 🎩

Theatre, dance, music, comedy… Here are 6 shows that caught our eye and that we highly recommend adding to your calendar before the end of the year. Over to you!

Do you remember the completely wild energy of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games?

Good news: some of that fever is coming to Esch-sur-Alzette. And let us warn you, things are likely to get seriously lively 🪩

Revealed to the general public during the Olympics, the MazelFreten company transforms the stage into a real dancefloor with Rave Lucid. Ten perfectly synchronized dancers string together precise movements, hypnotic waves and bursts of adrenaline to an electro-house and techno soundtrack. Enough to send you into a trance without even needing to know a Berlin club bouncer 👯

And because a good evening should never end with the credits: join us from 6:30 p.m. at Bistrot La Souffleuse at Escher Theater for the season launch over a drink. After the show, the evening continues with a DJ set by MAzelFreten 🍸🪩

What if, for once, your cultural outing consisted of doing nothing? Take off your shoes, get comfortable, close your eyes… and let everyday life take a little nap too.

For 60 minutes, the hurdy-gurdy and electronic music create a hypnotic sound bubble, inspired by lullabies from around the world. No words, just gentle beats, buzzing sounds and an invitation to disconnect. Young and old alike are welcome on this musical journey as soft as a Sunday morning under the duvet 💤

Meet us on 3 and 4 October at neimënster, in the Godchaux room, for 4 (free) nap sessions: two per day, at 12 noon and 2 p.m. So, ready to set your calendar to “do not disturb under any circumstances”?

What if Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals left its old music stands behind for a little trip into electro-pop? That’s exactly the gamble taken by Chromatique, a colourful creation imagined by musician Marc Melià and choreographer Louise Baduel.

Here, there’s no need for words to tell the story: the animals come to life through abstract shapes, movements, surprising materials and instruments made from everyday objects. A joyful sound-and-visual menagerie where everyone can let their imagination run free ✨

A colourful, wordless journey for ages 3 and up, inviting little ones (and big ones too) to watch, listen and dream for 40 minutes in the Grande Salle des Rotondes.

Chromatique received the Minister for Childhood’s Prize at the Rencontres Théâtre Jeune Public de Huy (BE), in 2025.

Get your ears ready and, above all, your legs: Jimmy Sax is coming to Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains on Saturday, October 10 for an evening where the saxophone is very likely to set the dance floor on fire.

At the crossroads of jazz, house and electro, the French artist transforms his instrument into a true dancing machine. From Tomorrowland to Ultra Miami, Jimmy Sax has already thrilled the biggest stages and collaborated with David Guetta, Ofenbach and Kungs.

On stage, expect enchanting melodies, improvisations and a generous dose of energy. His must-hear tracks such as Be Mine, X and Family will follow one another in a show that is as festive as it is electrifying 🎶

Imagine: you go to friends’ house to celebrate some good news, you arrive with a smile… and discover that they are in mourning. Slight problem: you’ve just won the lottery. Impeccable timing, delightful atmosphere.

In Le Jambon, Julie and Rémi thought they were in for a quiet evening. That was without counting on the lies, misunderstandings and a succession of completely improbable situations that will turn this little dinner among friends into a real catastrophe. And as is often the case, the more you try to hide something, the more obvious it becomes.

Join us at the Aalt Stadhaus on 8 October to discover this play, as funny as it is unpredictable.

With dark humour, mix-ups and twists and turns, this comedy promises an evening where things will quickly go completely off the rails. Or turn into ham, apparently 😏!

After bringing together more than 5,400 spectators and selling out two shows at the Rockhal, Luxembourg du Rire is back…! ❄️

On October 24, get ready for an evening where the jokes will come thick and fast, with two exceptional shows bringing together no fewer than six comedy heavyweights on the same stage. Suffice it to say, we’re unlikely to lose count of the laughs.

And for this first winter edition, the lineup is pretty impressive: Gad Elmaleh, Inès Reg, Akim Omiri, Rodrigue, Hugo Le Van and Salim Shady will come together at the Rockhal for an evening full of energy, surprises and punchlines 🎤
