Conference: Germaine Goetzinger and Christiane RauschAline Mayrisch de Saint-Hubert (1874-1947)
A break from modernity
Aline Mayrisch was an extraordinary personality. She was much more than the wife of the famous industrialist Emil Mayrisch. She also had something to say.
In a world dominated by men, she advocated for women's self-determination and was willing to go far beyond what women were allowed to do at the time. The conference addresses the different facets of her commitment, oscillating between feminism, social work and literature.
Quotations from letters and texts by Aline Mayrisch and other contemporaries are read by Christiane Rausch.
