Loveman
Poetic and twilight: these are the two adjectives that most aptly describe the music of Loverman, alias James De Graef. His cavernous voice and his lyrics imbued with dark melancholy evoke Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, Bill Callahan and even Nick Cave, from whom he took his stage name. However, we quickly realize that Loverman transcends the folk that inspires him, decorating the purity of his guitar with subtle arrangements that give full dimension to his intimate melodies. In concert, the Brussels artist occupies every corner of the stage, inhabiting his pieces as much as the place, in an intensely exposed romanticism.
Porcelain Id
Armed with his imposing voice and a guitar, Porcelain id skillfully breaks the codes with folk tinged with soul, lo-fi electro and experimental pop. Of Rwandan origin, the artist tells the story of his identity journey and his inner world through vulnerable and authentic songs where Bon Iver, Kings of Convenience but also Tyler the Creator and Kanye West come together.
