Is there a place – a place – for dance, how can we find it in a world where virtuality threatens to fragment at every moment this rituality or ceremony of the body, of movement? Quo, the new DantzaZ program, invites us to imagine this path using the views that envelop the works of choreographers Gil Harush, Hilde Koch and Wubkje Kuindersma. Since its creation in 2007, and under the artistic direction of Adriana Pous, the Basque dance company DantzaZ from San Sebastian (Spain) is mainly involved in the promotion and development of international dance projects. As a production platform in collaboration with different dance theaters in Europe, DantzaZ promotes its Basque identity, conveying joie de vivre and pleasure of movement with Spanish and French influences. DantzaZ therefore sees itself as a mediator between different cultural trends and as a voice of Europe. In 15 years of existence, she has created more than 100 creations. More than 150 dancers began their careers there and contributed to the history of DantzaZ. Many of them are now part of leading international dance companies.
