On the one hand, mental health is a subject of growing concern for the population. This is even more the case among young people and has become significantly worse during the pandemic.

The queer community, due to its intersectionality, is particularly vulnerable and in need of support.

On the other hand, there are not enough health professionals available, which increases waiting times for care, and they are often not sufficiently trained in the difficulties encountered by the queer community.

Finally, there is insufficient public awareness of the problem and no real resources or information network to turn to for help.

We created R4H (Rainbow for Heath), one of CIGALE's communities brought together around themes related to mental health in all its forms.

The group meets monthly to exchange ideas and discuss “wellness activities.” Regular or full participation is not obligatory and everyone is free to participate in the way that suits them best. Members can communicate via a Whatsapp group to share resources and/or organize events.
