Liya Petrova was revealed on the international scene when she won First Prize at the Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition in Denmark in 2016. The international press was full of praise: the Sunday Times praised "a magnificent, mature, silver-tinged sound, phrasing of majestic scope." Pizzicato in Germany also spoke of a "pure, silvery sound" and emphasized its "magnificent lyricism," while Gramophone described an "exceptional variety of timbres" in "a marvelous
disc”.
Very present on the international circuit both as a soloist and chamber musician, Lise Berthaud has been a guest, among other prestigious venues, of the Musikverein in Vienna, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Munich Philharmonie, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Bozar in Brussels, Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.
