He is often called "the golden voice of Africa". From his beginnings with the group Les Ambassadeurs to his four decades of solo career as an authentic ambassador of his native Mali, singer-songwriter Salif Keita has overcome many challenges. Born albino, some would not have wanted him to survive. Not belonging to the caste of griots, some would not have wanted him to become an artist. Yet he managed to overcome these barriers and many more. After globalizing afropop, he is now revealing himself for the first time in an acoustic style with his project So Kono. A powerful and intimate meeting not to be missed.
