If I were a songwriter with a love of rhymes, I would say, “I'll pass, but I'll tell you my story,” because that's what this is all about!
How do you start making music, and why? What explains the fact that it's the only profession you don't choose, but rather one that chooses you? My program will consist solely of the answers to all these questions. “I'll pass, instead sharing with you the elements of my journey”: the songs of others that made me want to sing, my songs that made me want to continue, including my entire “Fredericks Goldman Jones” period, and then the songs that made those for whom I wrote them want to continue singing too! Among others, the songs I wrote for Johnny Hallyday, Joe Cocker, and Ray Charles.
Today, Michael Jones has only one desire: “to pass the baton”... to you!
