The magic of Saint Nicholas in Longwy

The City of Longwy invites young and old to celebrate the magic of Saint Nicholas Day on Sunday, December 7, 2025. Starting at 4:00 p.m., Place Darche will come alive with an enchanting parade through the city streets, ending at the Longwy Haut Town Hall. The highlight of this event will be the distribution of Christmas crackers by Saint Nicholas's elves and other magical entertainment.
The procession will depart promptly at 4:00 PM from the war memorial in Longwy-Haut. Participants will follow a route crossing Rue Mercy and Rue Villatte, then Rue Aristide Briand, before arriving in front of the Longwy-Haut town hall. Visitors will be able to admire the two floats representing the Merlin housing estate and the Bien Vivre au Bel Arbre association.
Good to know
Keen to enable all residents to participate, the City of Longwy has set up free shuttle buses departing from Gouraincourt and Longwy-Bas, thus facilitating access to the event.
