Few periods in Luxembourg's history have managed to unify so many contradictions in one thematic image as the immediate post-war period. Never have the feelings of victory and defeat, euphoria and despair, right and wrong been so close together. Amidst this turmoil, it was crucial to set the course for the future of a small country in the heart of Europe and secure the feeling of solidarity and cohesion for the coming decades. For most political actors of the time, this was only achievable through a radical break with National Socialist traditions and a rigorous purge of the entire civil and employed apparatus.
The conferences will be held in Luxembourgish. Entrance is free.
