This film, nominated at the Oscars 1988 for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Writing, won 7 César awards in 1988. Recommended for those aged 12 and above. Set in winter 1944, the story follows Julien, aged 12, as he returns to the Sainte-Croix boarding school. The arrival of Jean Bonnet, his new roommate, gradually transforms their initially mistrustful relationship.
