Smoking, a film directed by Alain Resnais and released in 1993, presented by the Popular Cinema University. Original version (VO), lasting 145 minutes, in 35 mm format. Starring Pierre Arditi and Sabine Azéma. Awards: Best Film and Best Director at the 1994 César Awards; Silberner Bär at the 1994 Berlinale. Synopsis: Noticing a packet of cigarettes on the table, Celia decides to take one, triggering a series of events that affect the destiny of the Yorkshire village inhabitants based on their decisions. A work presented as a bold experiment with two simultaneous films, two actors, one beginning, and twelve endings.
