The work of Jean-Pierre Beckius, renowned for his paintings of the Moselle region, is actually characterized by a great variety of motifs and a personal painting style inspired by Impressionism. On the occasion of his 125th birthday, an exhibition of 90 paintings and studies showcases different characteristic periods of the painter's oeuvre. The exhibition highlights Beckius's lesser-known or unpublished works from his vast family legacy or other private collections. The selection is complemented by works from the Villa Vauban collection. These works, mostly created abroad in France, Italy, and the Netherlands, are supplemented by family portraits.
