Regular guided tour: Jean-Pierre Beckius (1899–1946)
The work of Jean-Pierre Beckius, famous for his paintings of the Moselle region, is characterized by a great variety of motifs and a personal style inspired by Impressionism. In celebration of his 125th birthday, an exhibition of 90 paintings and studies showcases the different characteristic periods of the painter's oeuvre. The exhibition highlights Beckius's lesser-known and unknown works from his family's vast legacy and other private collections. The selection is complemented by works from the Villa Vauban collection. These works were mainly created abroad, in France, Italy, and the Netherlands, and are enhanced by family portraits.
