Opening: TUBE.PHOTO.DASH
As part of the 10th European Month of Photography (EMOP)
As part of the 10th edition of the European Month of Photography (EMOP), entitled Rethinking Photography, the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d'art coontemporain presents TUBE.PHOTO.DASH, an exhibition conceived by Théophile Calot, director of delpire & co, a space dedicated to photography in Paris. He offers a unique back-and-forth between two production formats that are fundamental to photographic work and essential to its dissemination: the book and the exhibition space. While the former immerses us in a horizontal, more intimate reading of photography, the latter takes us on a broader, vertical reading.
Each of the invited artists presents works related to the "book" in the broadest sense. The "books" or works are, in turn, presented in the exhibition space. Placed on an individual reading device, they question the verticality and horizontality of the image and the reading point of view, all in an attempt to grasp the links between the space of the book and the exhibition space.
The exhibition is open to the public from Friday, May 9.
