The career of officer Louis-Alphonse Munchen (1819-1881), serving in the Royal Dutch Army, the Federal Contingent, the Hunter Corps, and the Volunteer Company, spans almost the entire 19th century. Revolution, nation, and organization have shaped his life as much as family joys, friendships, and losses. Through previously unseen and well-known exhibits, personal stories about social and military challenges in 19th-century Luxembourg can be explored. In English, free admission.
