Selexion - representation
For the finale of the International Virtuoso Competition, 6 candidates have qualified. Each will demonstrate their instrumental virtuosity in front of a knowledgeable jury - the public. The battle for the trophy, which will be awarded at the end of the event, is fierce. The evening is hosted by an eloquent presenter and her knowledgeable assistant, with quirky texts, inventive comments, and entertaining digressions, accompanied by a three-member stage orchestra. Germany 'searches for the superstar' with Bohlen & Co on the jury, criticizing to find the most talented. Now, it's Luxembourg's turn: LSDS for contemporary music. The candidates, all classical musicians, will perform works by the composer Claude Lenners, who is the creator of this special evening: Claude Lenners, former scholarship holder of the Académie de France at the Villa Medici in Rome and an internationally awarded Luxembourgish composer. 'SeleXion' is the fourth joint theatrical work by Claude Lenners and director Frank Hoffmann. Catherine Elsen, assisted by René Nuss, leads the evening. In the end, the jury decides on the winners and losers - the jury being the audience itself!
