“Do you ever dream that you are flying?”
On the planet Gy, or rather the "plane of Gy," the inhabitants are very similar to us, except that they have feathers, and sometimes even wings, which grow at puberty. A peculiarity perceived not as a blessing but as a curse. So, what should we do with these wings? Hide them? Or spread them and fly, at the risk of falling? American science fiction and fantasy writer Ursula K. Le Guin has always explored gender, feminism, ecology, and more. In this adaptation of one of her short stories, an ethnologist provides a voiceover commentary on the customs and traditions of the strange tribe evolving before our eyes. Between spectacular headdresses, hairy monsters, and strange pink fruits falling from the sky, a teeming universe unfolds... A fable that, through imaginary folklore, invites us to reflect on the notion of difference and the inevitable risk-taking that life itself represents.
