What's almost as good – and sometimes better – than watching a film? Talking about it, of course. Cinémathèque Film Club screens a print from our archives chosen by a special guest, who will discuss their pick with the audience after the screening.
The Celebration (Denmark 1998 | Thomas Vinterberg) in vostFR+EN, runtime 105 minutes, format 35mm. Cast: Ulrich Thomsen, Thomas Bo Larsen, Paprika Steen, Trine Dyrholm, Henning Moritzen. When a Danish patriarch turns 60, his large family gathers at a castle to celebrate him. But does everyone truly like and respect him?
The film will be followed by a 45-minute discussion in English with Cinémathèque Film Club guest Gintare Parulyte and the audience. Gintare Parulyte is a Lithuanian-born actress, filmmaker, and playwright from Luxembourg.
