A child prodigy from the world of Carnatic music, Varijashree Venugopal has mastered the stringent codes of this South Indian tradition. On her first album, «Vari», whose title means «water» in Sanskrit, she deploys her bewitching vocal flights over unique soundscapes marked by powerful rhythms.
