Here is music that refuses to stand still!
The Piano Concerto No. 3 by Sergei Prokofiev is bright, bold, and bursting with energy, full of rhythmic twists and sparkling details. Symphony No. 4 by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, on the other hand, is darker; it speaks of destiny, struggle, and hard-won liberation. Together, they reveal two sides of the same coin: shadow and light, clarity and chaos.
Alexandre Kantorow, highly regarded by the public and known for his bold playing, joins the Filarmonica della Scala for a program rich in contrasts.
