As part of our Embellie open day, the duo ENGLBRT, comprising Georges Goerens and Niels Engel, returns for a live concert. Having participated in several research residencies at neimënster, these two musicians, among the most respected on the Luxembourg music scene, have developed a unique sound signature, blending airy electronica, contemporary jazz, and meticulously crafted indie-pop. After contributing to acclaimed projects on the Luxembourg musical stage, the two musicians withdrew to the renowned Kulturfabrik cultural center to create ENGLBRT's characteristic sound palette, laying the foundation for their future recordings with the release of their debut single, “Harm.” Like working in a laboratory, the duo isolates samples from their shared musical lexicon to unveil hidden connections, consistently leading to the discovery of captivating combinations. These initial experiments and songs have shaped the nature of their collaboration, resulting in their debut EP, Odes to Everything, to be released on the Berlin-based label Listenrecords in 2023.
