A man suffers in isolation from his lack of resonance in the world. Cut off from the rest, he yearns for more than just being a part of it. He wants more than to understand—he wants to own, empower, and shape the world. He wishes to make it his own and immortalize himself in it.
"At the moment I want to say:
Stay a moment, you're so handsome!
The traces of my earthly days
cannot fall into eternity."
From two souls in the chest emerges, in this mono-drama, a multi-voice choir. In this monumental evening solo performance, Max Pfnür interprets all the characters from FAUST I and II.
