The traveling exhibition in French and German, presented from March 8 to September 15 at the National Museum in Esch-sur-Alzette, addresses the life paths and experiences of approximately 7000 women deported from France and Luxembourg to the Ravensbrück concentration camp as part of political-motivated repression. It highlights the diversity of social and national origins of these women and shows how resistance and persecution were influenced by traditional gender roles. The multifaceted aspects of resistance, imprisonment, and survival are told through selected biographies. The exhibition is bilingual in French and German.
