My Urban Piano Luxembourg is an artistic project that involves installing pianos in public spaces. The primary goal is to encourage encounters between citizens around the pianos and to foster multiple synergies in the chosen locations.
Under the direction of several city associations, the pianos will be decorated by young people from youth centers, daycare centers and schools.
The Luxembourg City Youth Hostel is also participating in this musical event, which will take place from May 15 to June 17. Our hostel is proud to house one of 17 pianos spread throughout the city, uniquely decorated by the city's partners from various fields. Our piano, decorated by the Eich School Center, is an open invitation to everyone, young and old, beginners and virtuosos, to meet, play, and enjoy music together, every day until 9 p.m.
Good to know
Make a video of yourself and post it on Facebook or YouTube using the hashtags #luxembourgcity and #myurbanpiano2025. With a bit of luck, you could win one of three vouchers worth €400, €200, or €150 offered by the City of Luxembourg. There are two categories: "musical performance" and "original video of a piano concert performance."
