Couleurs.S sextet is the ultimate step of an endeavor initiated as a solo and then as a trio since 2018. The project serves as a crucible blending jazz and improvised musical universes with the extraordinary world of Olivier Messiaen. In addition to the core trio of piano/double bass/drums, the sextet incorporates the Ondes Martenot, a signature instrument of Olivier Messiaen, the trombone, a 'telluric' force of winds, and the violin, an aerial extension of the earthbound double bass. Pigmented by the tonal colors of the great composer, this creation primarily aims to achieve a 'colorful' cosmogony, representing the birth of an imagined, poetic, and shared world.
