For his new studio album, Bertrand Belin has chosen to explore new sonic landscapes, to further and advance his research, delving deeper into his style. The piano, regal on some tracks, adds an extra grace to the intelligent mix of electronics/guitar/drums present in his recent albums but presented in a fresh light. Strings occasionally lift the harmony and vocals to various atmospheric conditions. The relationship is always from earth to sky and vice versa. The themes of this new album are existential: our place, perspectives, movements, loves, attentions, impulses, fears, and questions. Bertrand's singing takes a more prominent role than usual, and his expansive prose provides new developments to his legendary and paradoxical minimalism.
