When Isadora Romero discovered that her great-grandmother and grandfather were seed guardians, she questioned whether the need to tell stories about agrobiodiversity was innately within her. Over the past 20 years, 75% of seed varieties have been lost globally. Romero's visual investigation addresses the loss of ancestral memory and Indigenous knowledge due to colonization, forced displacement, and racism, leading to an alarming rate of seed disappearance. Exploring various regions in Latin America, Romero analyzes the crises surrounding these issues with meticulous detail.
