On Sunday, June 29th, the association "Escher Kulturlaf a.s.b.l." is organizing the third "Trail des Mines" in Rumelange. Trail runners of all ages (the number of participants is limited to 600) can discover in a different way the Land of the Red Earth and its industrial past on routes covering 14 and 20 kilometers. They will not only experience the former iron ore mining in the open-cast mine, but also underground: in keeping with its name, the trail also leads three kilometers through the "Walert" mine, which was closed in 1963.
