In Symfonia, he revisits a successful performance that draws on the emotional power of Henryk Górecki's hypnotic Symphony No. 3. Solemn and heart-rending, this composition is a tribute to the mother and woman. The acrobatic whirl of breakdance joins the aerial moves of classical ballet. Although the ten men and women on stage mostly wear sneakers, the music propels them into introspection and mystery, embodying a dance that is sensuous, expansive, and fraternal.
