Breaking the codes, uncovering habits, and playing with possible and impossible instruments. This boldness is the driving force of Louisa Marxen. In Timepieces, cymbals and drums are joined by unusual objects: a clock, World War II shell casings, or a bag overflowing with multicolored ping-pong balls. To original compositions, among others, by Catherine Kontz and Louis Andriessen, the Luxembourgish musician engages in splendid combinations. Rhythms and percussion offer a unique sound experience that invites us to rethink our concept of time.
