Marielle Hary creates unique artworks using the collage technique, entirely manual, without any digital intervention. Her works immerse us in a retro universe, strongly inspired by the 1950s to 1970s. She combines vintage images, taken from old magazines and reviews, with contemporary elements gathered from various paper sources. Her unusual compositions, with vivid colors, exude a sense of nostalgia. Her artistic approach seeks to highlight the timelessness of certain human experiences — the complexity of relationships, the quest for self-discovery through nature, and the desire to fully enjoy life — while questioning the ephemeral nature of objects, as they transition from novelty to antique. Her passionate need to dive into magazine pages, be they old or new, reveals a fascination with the passage of time, the overlapping of eras layered like wallpaper on which human lives are imprinted. The series "Dive into Summer!" portrays characters navigating a world where humans and nature coexist during beautiful summer days. A sense of gentle living and aquatic pleasures prevails, enhanced by touches of humor. Implicitly, a message emerges: humans are users of the planet, just like animals, and everyone can enjoy the splendor of nature if they respect the shared spaces and resources.
